According to the information obtained, the 'Ata Voyager,' a tanker belonging to the Turkish company Ocean Tankers and flying the Panama flag, was targeted by a Russian unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) while waiting to load vegetable oil at a port in the Odessa region on January 12. As a result of the attack, a crew member on the ship was injured in the arm.

In a statement from the Ukrainian Armed Forces, it was reported that a total of 8 unmanned aerial vehicles were detected during the attempted attacks by Russia on the ports in the Odessa region on the evening of January 12; 6 of these were destroyed by air defense systems. However, it was noted that 2 UAVs, which could not be intercepted, struck civilian vessels. It was reported that, in addition to the 'Ata Voyager' tanker, which was waiting to enter the port to load vegetable oil, the San Marino-flagged vessel 'Blue Bead,' which was carrying grain, also sustained damage.
