Asia-Europe rate rose 0.2pc to US$914/TEU, fall 4.3pc to USWC

SPOT rates for shipping containers from Asia to northern Europe in the week ending Friday ticked up 0.2 per cent to US$914 per TEU, according to the Shanghai Containerised Freight Index (SCFI).

Asia-Mediterranean trade slipped 0.8 per cent to $791 per TEU, American Shipper reported.

Asia to the US west coast fell 4.3 per cent week over week to $1,486 per FEU while those to the east coast were off 2.4 per cent to $2,775 per FEU.
