SPOT rates for shipping containers from Asia to northern Europe fell 1.7 per cent to US$1,023 per TEU in the week ending Friday, according to the Shanghai Containerised Freight Index (SCFI).
Asia-Mediterranean trade increased 1.2 per cent to $998 per TEU, American Shipper reported. Asia to the US west coast dropped 0.7 per cent week-over-week to $2,092 per FEU while those to the east coast inched up 0.1 per cent to $3,639 per FEU.
