Asia-Europe rate down 4.2pc to US$684/TEU, off 1.2pc to USWC

SPOT rates from China to North Europe fell 4.2 per cent on Friday from the previous week to US$684 per TEU, according to the Shanghai Containerised Freight Index (SCFI). Asia-Mediterranean trade fell 2.1 per cent to $732 per TEU, London's Loadstar reported. Asia to US west coast decreased six per cent to $1,345 per FEU while those to the east coast off 4.9 per cent to $2,357 per FEU.
