SPOT rates for shipping containers from Asia to northern Europe in the week ending Friday declined 2.7 per cent to US$640 per TEU, according to the Shanghai Containerised Freight Index (SCFI). Asia-Mediterranean trade recorded a slight uptick to $715 per TEU, London's Loadstar reported.
Asia to US west coast decreased one per cent to $1,606 per FEU while those to the east coast stayed flat at $2,638 per FEU.
