APL is adding port calls at Xingang, Busan and Sohar to its West Asia Express (WAX) service in order to provide wider coverage between Asia and the Middle East. The shipping line said the 'enhanced WAX service will be characterised by its unparalleled transit time from Asia to the key Gulf ports of Sohar, Jebel Ali and Dammam. Shippers can also expect to gain direct access to Sohar from Qingdao, as well as to Dammam and Doha from Xingang.'
The revised WAX service will commence sailing from Xingang on July 26 on the following port rotation: Xingang, Busan, Qingdao, Shanghai, Shenzhen-Shekou, Singapore, Sohar, Jebel Ali, Doha, Dammam, Jubail, Singapore, returning to Xingang.
