In the morning of June 8, 2018 at 3.40 p.m. the Port Authority of Syros was informed by the captain of the 'Andros Jet' that during the departure of the ship from the port of Ermoupolis upon Syros enroute to Tinos and Andros with 40 passengers on board, a malfunction was detected in the electronic system. The ferry was banned from sailing by the Port Authority of Syros until the damage was restored and the seaworthiness certificate was presented by the classification society. The ship left the port for the next scheduled trip on June 9 at 8.35 a.m., headed to Tinos.
