Almi Tankers S.A. was recently recognised by the United States Coast Guard for meeting the requirements of their Quality Shipping in the 21st Century programme, also known as Qualship 21, which identifies high-quality vessels and rewards them for their commitment to safety and quality. The U.S. Coast Guard implemented this initiative on January 1, 2001, to identify high-quality ships, and provide incentives to encourage quality operations. The first two vessels of Almi Tankers’ fleet to reach this status were M/T Almi Horizon and M/T Almi Globe.
