On Jan 21, 2018, the 'Kota Bahagia' broke from its moorings and allided with a pier at Zonguldak in heavy seas and swells. The ship suffered damages to the hull plating, and also the pier was affected. Damage assessment was started, and cargo operations were suspended due to prevailing adverse weather condition in port. The vessel has shifted from pier to anchorage. On Jan 28 the 'Kota Bahagia' sailed from Zonguldak to the Yalova shipyard, arriving there at 9 a.m. for repairs.
