The accident happened when docking at Aarhusved at 5 p.m. when it slammed into the quay. No person was injured, but some material damage occurred on the ferry that was towed to the dock and could not continue the service to Samsø. 50 passengers waiting for the ferry in Aarhus, to sail to Samsø and attend the weekend's music festival, were transported to Hou where they reached the car ferry to Samsø at 7.30 p.m. The 'Issehoved' resumed sailing in the morning of July 16.
