Turkey is constructing 39 military vessels, enhancing its naval capabilities through domestic projects, says Admiral Tatlıoğlu.
The Commander of the Naval Forces, Admiral Ercüment Tatlıoğlu, announced that the construction of 39 military vessels is currently underway in Turkish shipyards. He emphasized that Turkey's naval power is steadily increasing through domestic and national projects.
According to Admiral Tatlıoğlu, these projects encompass a diverse range of vessels, including a national aircraft carrier, submarines, frigates, destroyers, and logistics support vessels. The simultaneous construction of these projects highlights Turkey's remarkable production capacity on a global scale.
Efforts to enhance the operational capabilities of the Turkish Naval Forces are being executed with integrated planning across various shipyards. All platforms under construction are being developed using local and national resources.
As disclosed by Admiral Tatlıoğlu, the military vessels currently under construction include:
- ISTIF (I) Class Frigates: 7 units
- TF-2000 Class Destroyer: 1 unit
- National Submarine (MILDEN): 1 unit
- Fuel Supply Vessels: 4 units (Fuel-2, 3, 4, and 5)
These projects demonstrate the high production capacity achieved within Turkey's defense industry and the technical competence of its shipyards. The ongoing construction activities, conducted in a coordinated and simultaneous manner, reflect Turkey's commitment to sustainable growth in its naval power.
