15 stowaways discovered in container

15 stowaways were found aboard the "Maersk Patras" on June 25, 2017, upon her arrival at Algeciras, having come from African ports in Angola, Namibia and Ghana. The had been hiding in a container. The vessel was ordered to drop anchor off Algeciras until the authorities have decided what to do. Some of them were taken to hospital for a health check, and then returned to the ship. After the Spanish authorities resolved the problem, the vessel was docked at the Abrigo Ingeniero Quay in the afternoon of June 26, with next port of call being Lisbon.
