APL, a member of the CMA CGM Group, will commence a new weekly America-Central America-Caribbean (ACC) service in August that links ports on the US east coast to the Dominican Republic to shorten transit times.
The ACC service has a three-day and five-day transit time from the port of Miami to the Dominican Republic ports of Rio Haina and Caucedo, respectively. The ACC service will also call at Kingston weekly to relay shipments that arrive onboard the carrier's ACE service to the Latin American ports.
The ACC service will make its first departure from Miami on August 23 on the following rotation: Miami, Rio Haina, Caucedo, Kingston, Belize, Puerto Cortes, Puerto Barrios, Cartagena, returning to Miami.
At Cartagena in Colombia, Latin American shippers can access the carrier's services to/from Asia.
