LOGISTICS company WiseTech Global has acquired Trinium Technologies, a provider of intermodal trucking management systems (TMS) in the US and Canada.
'Trinium enables specialised road transport for the first and last mile,' said WiseTech Global CEO Richard White.
'Together our global reach and development capacity will provide more productive and integrated solutions across the supply chain,' he said, reported London's Air Cargo News.
Los Angeles-based Trinium offers TMS for the movement of seafreight containers between port terminals, inland rail terminals, container yards and warehouses.
It supplies more than 185 trucking customers including Horizon Freight System, NFI Industries, California Cartage Companies, ContainerPort Group, Schneider Logistics Transportation, and The Pasha Group.
WiseTech recently bought Taric, a customs management solutions provider in Madrid. In June, it purchased parcel TMS provider Pierbridge.
In the same month it swooped on Fenix Data Systems, a customs management solutions provider in Canada, and Turkey-based Ulukom, which offers a range of logistics, customs, freight forwarding and warehouse support software.
