THE last Hanjin vessel, the 5,302 TEU Hanjin Rome, has been sold recently in a sheriff's sale in Singapore for an undisclosed sum and was moved to Chittagong for scrapping, Hellenic Shipping News reported.

All of the defunct shipping line's 97 containerships, with an aggregate capacity of 617,000 TEU, have now been sold, returned to their owners or recovered by creditors, marking the end of Hanjin's involvement in container shipping, after a 40-year history that begun in 1977.
