THE Asia Australia Discussion Agreement (AADA) has announced a bunker surcharge increase from Japan, Korea, mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan to ports in Australia to US$275 per TEU and $550 per FEU for dry and refrigerated containers from April 11.
The AADA said the change reflected the recent increase in the price of oil at Hong Kong and South Korea, and that revisions by member lines were conducted in accordance with the established review procedures
Customers requiring further information concerning the bunker surcharge are advised to contact the member lines, said the AADA in a notice to trade.
AADA members include ANL Singapore, APL, CSCL (HK), Cosco Evergreen, Hamburg Sud, Hanjin, Hapag-Lloyd, Hyundai Merchant Marine, "K" Line, MSC, MOL, NYK Line, OOCL, PIL, Sinotrans Container Lines, TS Line and Yang Ming.
