ORGANISERS of the 19th International Congress of Maritime Arbitrators (ICMA XIX) have announced a change of venue from Shanghai to Hong Kong.
They said that ICMA XIX could not be held as originally scheduled and so a replacement venue had to be found for the conference, which will now take place at the Kowloon Shangri-La in Tsim Sha Tsui East from May 11-15.
The keynote address of ICMA XIX, the Cedric Barclay Memorial Lecture, will be delivered by the former president of the Supreme Court of England & Wales, Lord Phillips of Worth Matravers.
Chairman of the steering committee, Bruce Harris, said: "We are delighted that the conference will go ahead as scheduled in mid-May. We look forward to welcoming all the attendees to Hong Kong for ICMA XIX."
