A WAREHOUSE in Trenton, New Jersey, has reported a fire when a newer model BMW enclosed in a shipping container burst into flames. The incident is considered by the police to be suspicious.
The two-alarm blaze happened on Tuesday night inside a single-story commercial building, Trenton Battalion chief Frank Seidel said.
The heavy smoke inside the building prompted a call to be sent out for all hands and crews working on ladder trucks to cut three large holes in the ceiling of the building to alleviate some of the smoke, he said.
Once the building was vented, firemen were able to determine the source of the fire, open the shipping container and douse the flames.
No one was injured and crews had the fire under control 12 hours later. The fire is under investigation, but its cause is unknown.
