Autoport is back in business now that the National Real Estate General Directorate at the Ministry of Finance has renewed the land use permit until 2058.
After Autoport began operations in 2008, a third party opened a court case against the Ministry of Finance, and as a result the facility was forced to suspend operations in September of 2013.
After the case was concluded, the National Real Estate General Directorate at the Ministry of Finance carried out the requirements stipulated in the court ruling and then renewed the land use permit until 2058.
The land and pier area was set aside for use by Autoport. Since the contract was renewed, Autoport resumed operations. The first vessel arrived at the port on April 1st.
