THE South Carolina State Ports Authority (SCSPA) has made changes to Terminal Tariff No 8 effective January 1 in the following areas, reported the American Journal of Transportation of Plymouth, Massachusetts.
First, the term "Terminal Tariff" will be phased out and replaced with "Marine Terminal Operator Schedule" (MTOS). Both terms will be used until all contracts referencing "tariff" have expired or been updated with the current terminology.
The SCSPA also announced that Rule 34-211 Harbour Master Fee is to increase to $130. Rule 32-212 Dockage covers an increase to $10.20 / ft LOA. Rule 34-213 Security Surcharge increases to $3.10 / ft LOA for non-container vessels.
For containers, Rule 34-070 Regular Working Hours, effective January 5 operating hours for receipt and delivery of pier containers are 0600-1800 Monday - Friday, holidays excepted.
Commencing later in 2015 operating hours for receipt and delivery of pier containers will be 0600-1800 Monday-Friday and 0800-1700 Saturday (with an hour lunch closure at noon), holidays excepted.
Rule 34-215 Container Charges: Decrease non-Contract Unit Fee to $175/ctr. Establish non-Contract Transshipment Fee of $125/ctr. Establish Gate Fee of $13 / pier container.
On breakbulk, Rule 34-245 Wharfage is increased to $4.55/nt for pieces 150,000lbs or less and $6.90/nt for heavier pieces. Rule 34-250 Stevedore Usage: Increase to $0.55/nt for point-of-rest cargo and $2/nt for shipside.
Rule 34-280 Boats: Handling tiers to increase to: $128.75, $154.50, $309 and $618 per unit. Rule 34-345 Machinery: Handling to increase to $14.80/nt forklifted cargo and $130/ea self-propelled.
Rule 34-375 Vehicles: Handling to increase to $55/ea (vehicles up to 10,000lbs), $130.00/ea (vehicles over 10,000lb and trailers to 45' long), $193.00/ea (trailers / shells over 45 long).
