Brothers-3 loaded with naphtha in trouble in Kilyos resort area, Turkey. The chief officer of ship, Russian citizen Artem Kotenev, was taken to hospital after a difficult seaborne operation by Turkish Coastal Safety Administration.
The chief officer of the ship, Russian citizen Artem Kotenev, fatally injured this morning as he fall onto the deck and broken his leg from two different parts.
Ship called out for emergency medical assistance as the injured person was critically losing blood.
A helicopter from Turkish Coast Guard went to the ship to airlift the injured person, bat was unable to do so in 4 unsuccesfull sorties.
Then, SAR a boat of Turkish Coastal Safety Administration, KIYEM-1 bravely went to assistance of injured person, despite very bad weather conditions, with wind and sea strength 8-9 beaufort.
Under most difficult conditions, KIYEM-1 boat successfully transferred the injured chief officer on board and took him to deliver an ambulance waiting ashore. The person was immediately taken to the hospital 'ACIBADEM' at Maslak, and his life was saved.
