Collision in Strait of Kerch
On Oct 30, 2014 at 06.00 a.m. LT the railway ferry "Petrovsk" was in collision with the "Sudak" in the Strait of Kerch while en route from the northern Caucasus to Oktyabsrsk.
The "Sudak" was coming in ballast from the Transpetrochart St. Petersburg and was en route to Rostov-on-Don.
At 03.20 a.m. the "Petrovsky" docked in Kavkaz with a breach of four length and a width of one meter on port side 1,6 meters above the waterline.
The "Sudak" moored at anchorage 455 with some rail damage and dent on starboard side. The ship docked in Rostov-on-Don on Nov 1.

According GMSKTS, the collision occurred at night on October 30. Railway ferry "Peter" followed by the port "Caucasus" in port "Crimea." Oil tanker "Sudak" was not loaded with oil products, bound in ballast in Rostov-on-Don.
Collision at the ferry left a dent on the left side of one meter wide and four meters long. A tanker left guard rail damage. Also tanker "Sudak" got a small dent.
As a result of the collision of ships no one was hurt, and left no oil pollution to the Kerch Strait.
