EDIRNE/TEKIRDAG (A.A) - Turkish security forces apprehended48 migrants in northwestern provinces of Edirne and Tekirdag as they were tryingto cross the border illegally.The migrants from Turkmenistan, Rwanda, Afghanistan, Palestine, Myanmar,Somalia and Eritrea were detained.They will be deported once the legal proceedings are completed.(UK)

TURKEY-KOSOVO-Turkish National Education Minister in Kosovo

PRISTINA (A.A) - Turkish National Education Minister OmerDincer met Kosovar Minister of Education, Science,&Technology Rame Buja as partof his visit to Pristina.Dincer said at a joint news conference following the meeting that Turkeywould continue extending support to Kosovo."Our talks focused on efforts to further improve Turkey-Kosovo cooperationin education. TURKEY-TREASURY-Turkish Treasury to issue Revenue Indexed Bonds

ANKARA (A.A) - The Treasury will issue the Revenue IndexedBonds.The Treasury said in a statement on Friday,"with the aim of diversifyingborrowing instruments, broadening the investor base and increasing domesticsavings, Revenue Indexed Bonds, of which coupon payments are indexed to thetransfers of State Owned Enterprises, Turkish Petroleum Corporation (TPAO), StateSupply Office (DMO), State Airport Authority (DHMI) and Coastal Safety (KIYEM) tothe budget as'Revenue Shares', were issued on January 28, 2009, April 29, 2009,February 24, 2010, August 11, 2010 and February 23, 2011. In this respect, 65percent of the revenue shares has been allocated for the previous issuances andremaining 35 percent is now allocated to the new issuance."The Treasury will issue the Revenue Indexed Bonds in February and August.Within this context, Treasury has decided to issue new Revenue Indexed Bonds ofwhich coupon payments are indexed to 35 percent of revenues of the second half of2011, total revenues of 2012 and the revenues of first half of 2013. The maturityof new TRY denominated Revenue Indexed Bonds is August 21, 2013 and it has couponpayments on February 22, 2012, August 22, 2012, February 20, 2013 and August 21,2013.Since transfer amount of the Revenue Shares to the budget is limited, themaximum issuance amount of new RIB will be 1,768.5 million TL. This issuanceamount does only notify maximum ceiling of the borrowing but not the amount thatTreasury would aim to attain.The coupon payments to each investors for the new issuance of RevenueIndexed Bonds with par value of 100 TL will be calculated by dividing RevenueShares to the maximum number of bonds designated for the new issuance(17,685,000), after deducting approximately 65 percent of the 6 month RevenueShares of the years 2011, 2012 and 2013.Revenue Indexed Bonds will be issued through Direct Sale Method to banksAugust 24, 2011. In this respect, banks will have to submit their"Formal RequestForm"until August 23, 2011 to the Treasury."Investor Guide"for the Revenue Indexed Bonds, which includes informationabout the structure of the bond and also provides technical details for theinvestors, is available at"http://www.hazine.gov.tr". TURKEY-SOMALIA-Turkish premier departs from Somalia after visit to Mogadishu

MOGADISHU (A.A) - Turkish Prime Minister Recep TayyipErdogan departed from Mogadishu after a one-day visit to the Somali capital.Erdogan visited a refugee camp in Mogadishu build by the Turkish RedCrescent Society and a field hospital set up by the Turkish Health Ministry.The Turkish premier's visit was aimed at drawing international attention tothe drought and famine in the Horn of Africa.Erdogan pledged more aid and infrastructure support for the famine-strickencountry including hospitals, water wells, garbage management as well as housing.(İMB-AY)

TURKEY-MACEDONIA-Turkish low-cost air carrier launches direct flights between Izmir, Skopje

IZMIR (A.A) - Turkish low-cost air carrier PegasusAirlines on Friday launched direct flights between Turkey's Aegean resort city ofIzmir and the Macedonian capital of Skopje.Also on board Pegasus'first flight from Izmir to Skopje were TurkishTransportation Minister Binali Yildirim as well Izmir Governor Cahit Kirac.Pegasus will fly on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays from Izmir and returnflights from Skopje are scheduled for Fridays and Mondays.(İMB-AY)
