THE Trump administration will exempt 110 Chinese products from tariffs, ranging from medical equipment to key capacitors from July 9 retroactively for a year, reported Reuters.
The exemption list will lessen the blow from the 25 per cent tariffs that the United States applied to US$34 billion of Chinese imports.
US and Chinese negotiators are scheduled to resume talks this week after a two-month hiatus, a year since the tariff battle began. Washington is pushing Beijing to remedy what US officials see as decades of unfair trading practices.
