Turkish ship "Alican Deval" Sold to Russian Navy
The Russian Navy bought the "Alican Deval" in order to carry military equipment from Russia to Syria.
On Oct 11, 2015, the vessel was docked in Novorossiysk.
It was renamed "Dvinitsa-50" and passed the Bosphorus on Oct 14 in order to deliver military cargoes to Syria.
Earlier, the ship was built in 1985, it was called Alican Deval and belonged to the Turkish company Deval Shipping & Trading. General cargo vessel with deadweight of 6400 tons is equipped with a diesel power plant, and has a speed of 9.8 knots.
Delivery of military supplies to Syria landing ships of the Russian Navy carried out in the summer of 2012, after the Atlantic was halted Russian cargo ship Alaed, which at the request of the British government revoked the insurance previously issued by Standard Club. The vessel is delivered to Syria in a renovated Russian Mi-25 helicopters and air defense systems. Prior to that, in different areas of otherwise attempt to detain or arrest Commercial Court delivered military supplies for the official Damascus.
