The Samsø shipping company had to cancel four sailings between Sælvig and Hou in the afternoon of Oct 3, 2017, when a tanker accidentally filled 6,000 liters of gasoline into a diesel tank of the "Prinsesse Isabella". The tank, which already contained 42 tons of diesel, had to be emptied before the ferry could sail again. 48 tons of fuel had to be drained. All sailings between noon at 3.45 p.m. were cancelled thus. The ferry sails 90 percent on LNG, but uses diesel when it maneuveres in and out of the ports as the engine accelerates diesel faster. Fortunately the gasoline had not yet got into the engine, so it could simply be pumped out again.
