Tokyo's 'K' Line Academy installed simulator as bridge for 14,000-TEUers
"K" LINE Maritime Academy in Tokyo has installed the latest model of ship handling simulator for deck officers to train for 14,000-TEU ships.
Along with the installation of the simulator, the Bridge Resource Management (BRM) Training Course was certified by Nippon Kanji Koki (Class NK).
The course is a requirement of STCW (Standards of Training, Certification and Watch keeping) Convention and carriers are obliged to conduct the course for captains and deck officers.
