Three more ships were grounded by the tropical storm in the morning of Aug 23, 2018, namely the 'Jin Hua' north of Kaohsiung, in Tainan city area, the 'Unlimited 2' halway between Kaohsiung and Tainan, and the product tanker 'Dragonaria' (IMO: 9172765) on Kaohsiung southern breakwater at the port’s entrance. An emergency meeting was set to take place on Aug 24 in order to work out and implement salvage plans for each grounded ship. There were fears of oil spills by the grounded vessels. Before, five ships were reported to have been blown ashore at the coast along Kaohsiung by the storm, among them the 'Tai Cang Hu 1' (IMO-No.: 9142423) the 'An Li 669', 5.000 dwt (IMO-No.: 8794827), south of the port approach and the 'Shun Hong', 4063 dwt (IMO-No. 8748232), the 'Chang Long 68' (IMO:8793744) and the Solomon-Islands registered 'Flying Dragon' (Fei Long; Call sign: Q9L5D) north of it. On the whole 66 crew members were on board. In the run of the day 41 crew members were taken off by rescue teasm and helicopters, including all 19 crew from the 'Flying Dragon', 12 from the 'Taig Cang Hu 1' and 10 from the 'Chang Long 68'.
