Teleport, the logistics arm of Capital A, has signed a memorandum of understanding with China Central Longhao Airlines (Air Central China) to enhance air cargo connectivity between China and Southeast Asia, reports Kuala Lumpur's Star.
The agreement was signed at the Zhengzhou-Kuala Lumpur 'Air Silk Road' Forum in Sepang on 18 September. The forum supports Malaysia's goal to position Kuala Lumpur International Airport as a regional and global trade gateway.
The MoU includes an interline agreement enabling faster cargo transfers between the two networks, addressing rising demand for reliable freight services to support growing cross-border trade.
teleport chief executive Pete Chareonwongsak said the partnership reflects confidence in Teleport's network and operational capabilities. He noted that linking Air Central's hubs with Teleport's Southeast Asian and Asia-Pacific network allows direct booking access for more efficient trade.
Air Central China chief executive Li Zhenliang said the MoU lays the foundation for deeper cooperation. He added that Teleport will become the airline's most important partner in Southeast Asia, helping to open new air routes.
The interline partnership connects Air Central China's routes from Xi'an, Hangzhou, Delhi, Hanoi and Osaka with Teleport's network of over 290 cities in more than 80 countries across Southeast Asia, the Middle East and Oceania.
