SWISSPORT groundhandler has renewed its licence to manage air cargo at Zurich Airport (ZRH) for seven years, reports London's Air Cargo News.
The licence also entitles swissport to offer other airport ground services, such as passenger services at check-in and boarding, baggage handling, aircraft pushback, de-icing, and lounge hospitality.
'We are delighted to continue our successful collaboration with Zurich Airport,' said Swissport International CEO Warwick Brady.
'Our ongoing commitment to innovative technological solutions enables us to increase efficiency and service quality and to ensure seamless and reliable ground handling for more than 30 airlines at Zurich Airport,' he said.
Swissport has been operating at Zurich Airport since 1996 and currently employs 2,300 people. In 2024, Swissport Zurich handled more than 187,000 flights. Today, the company delivers airport ground services to most airlines operating at Zurich Airport.
Swissport recently launched a new air cargo ground handling partnership with Dominican Republic-headquartered SKYhigh Airlines at Miami International Airport in the US, plus expanded its air cargo capabilities at Gatwick Airport in the UK.
