THE Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) has cancelled the Bunkering Licence (Bunker Supplier) of G-Fuel Pte Ltd for allowing another company to use its Bunker Delivery Notes (BDNs) to supply bunkers to the other company's customers.
The MPA said G-Fuel's action was found to be in breach of Clause 3 of the terms and conditions of the Bunkering Licence (Bunker Supplier).
The cancellation of the licence means that G-Fuel will no longer be permitted to act as a supplier of bunker fuel at the Port of Singapore.
It issued a reminder (Circular No 11, 2012) that all licensed Bunker Suppliers are reminded that under Clause 3 of the terms and conditions of the Bunkering Licence (Bunker Supplier), bunker suppliers shall not transfer, assign, sublet, share, part with or otherwise dispose of any of their rights, duties, liabilities, obligations and privileges under the terms and conditions of the licence.
It warned that the "MPA will not hesitate to suspend or cancel the bunkering licence of any Bunker Supplier or Bunker Craft Operator that is found to have contravened any of the terms and conditions of its licences".
Last year, the Port of Singapore achieved a record sales volume of 43.2 million tonnes of bunker fuel.
