STATE-OWNED shipping Corporation of India posted a 43.8 per cent year-on-year decline in net profit to INR75.5 million (US8.6 million) for the third quarter that ended December 31.
In the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal, the Shipping Corporation of India posted a net profit of INR344 million, the company said in a regulatory filing. The company's revenue from operations fell by 1.9 per cent to INR1.35 billion as against INR1.34 billion in the corresponding period of the preceding fiscal.
At the operating level, EBITDA dropped 14.3 per cent to INR357 million in the third quarter of this fiscal over INR416.9 million in the corresponding period in the previous fiscal.
