Shandong containerised hazmat up 19pc to 193,699 TEU as of November 25
THE northern Shandong jurisdiction's vessels transported hazardous cargo container posted a year-on-year 19 per cent increase to 193,699 TEU as of November 25, setting a record, according to Shandong Bureau of Maritime Affairs.
Overall ships transported dangerous goods in the period reached 202 million tonnes, 32.17 per cent more compared to the same period last year, reports Xinhua.
The number of sailings of the vessels for carrying hazardous goods declined 1.28 per cent to 26,505, of which the number of very large crude carrier (VLCC) reached 241 units.
