The "Yeruslan" remained trapped in the Amur Bay waters, but a huge rescue operation was launched on Feb 18, with water being pumped from the partially submerged vessel. Thieves were blamed for running the ship aground and setting it on fire after stealing parts for scrap metal using oxygen acetylene torches to remove parts of the ship. The stern nearly completely underwater and the bow lifted off the surface. Long pipes were used to pump the water out of the hull in a bid to free the ship. Report with photos: www.dailymail.co....
