RUSSIA's container market fell 15.8 per cent year on year from January to October to 4.54 million TEU, according to Fesco Transportation Group, reported St Petersberg's PortNews.
Imports fell 14 per cent to 1.69 million TEU, exports by 23 per cent to 1.31 million TEU while transit boxes decreased 23 per cent to 622,000 TEU. Meanwhile, internal shipments climbed one per cent to 919,000 TEU.
In October, container market of Russia fell by 16.3 per cent, year on year to 471,000 TEU. Imports fell six per cent year on year, but rose 12 per cent versus September 2022.
October exports dropped 30 per cent year on year, but shipments via the Far East ports have more than doubled.
