PERFORMANCE Shipping, formerly known as Diana Containerships, has sold the 2006-built 6,541-TEU containership Pucon for US$20.215 million to an unnamed third party.
Maritime Strategies International (MSI) values the vessel at $18.5 million. The box ship is expected to be delivered by December 5, reported Singapore's Splash 247.
The sale will leave Athens-based Performance Shipping with just two containerships, one postpanamax and one panamax, plus an aframax tanker bought from Maersk Tankers. It also expected to take delivery of another aframax tanker from Maersk as part of a two-ship deal.
