CARGO volumes handled by ports in Panama totalled 7,346,859 TEU in 2019, representing an increase of 4.7 per cent compared with the prior year.

'We expect this positive trend to continue in 2020.'
'I am pleased to announce that, as part of the commitment made in the first days of my appointment as Administrator of the AMP that as of April 1, the institution will call a tender for the design and construction of the new multipurpose dock for Puerto Armuelles,' said the AMP administrator in a statement released by the Panama Maritime Authority.
