P&O Cruises Australia is to name its first Grand Class ship Pacific Adventure when she joins the fleet in late 2020. Currently sailing as Golden Princess in the Princess Cruises fleet, the 3,100-guest ship will be renovated, rebranded and renamed after she repositions to Australia in October 2020. Pacific Adventure will replace the smaller Pacific Eden, which will depart P&O Cruises in April 2019 and be transferred to a new operator. During her renovation, Pacific Adventure will be fitted with various new onboard highlights, including live music venue The Blue Room, restaurants and dining experiences developed in collaboration with Australian chef and restaurateur Luke Mangan and award-winning Melbourne chef Johnny Di Francesco. There will also be a multi-deck adults-only Oasis retreat, which has sun lounges, spa tubs, a swimming pool and dedicated bar. Accommodation will include 560 balcony rooms, 230 suites and mini suites and the fleet’s first five-berth family cabins.
