OOCL cuts low-demand winter sailings on its Trans-Atlantic trade
HONG Kong-based Orient Overseas Container Line (OOCL) has announced that it has withdrawn a number of sailings on its Trans-Atlantic trade due to the expected low demand during the Christmas and New ear.
On its Atlantic Express 1 (AX1) service, the Vancouver Express (VCX) voyage 053W/E, there'll be no westbound sailing from Le Havre on December 30, 2016. The eastbound sailing from New York on January 16, 2017 has also been withdrawn.
On its Atlantic Express 2 (AX2) service, the Singapore Express (SNX) voyage057W/E, there'll be no westbound sailing from Southampton on December 24, 2016. The eastbound sailing from Savannah on January 9, 2017, has been dropped.
Earlier, the shipping line announced that on its Gateway Express 2 (GEX2) service, the westbound sailing from Southampton on December 27, 2016 and the eastbound sailing from Montreal on December 30, 2016 have been withdrawn.
