HONG KONG's Orient Overseas Container Line (OOCL) has announced various changes in its intra-Asia loops on north-south runs to come into effect in July and August.
First there is a change in its A3 product to provide more competitive service on both directions and comprehensive coverage in the North East Asia /Australia market starting in August.
The A3C - effective from voyage ETA Shanghai August 9 the port rotation will include additional northbound calls at Shanghai, Ningbo, Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Kaohsiung, Xiamen, Ningbo and back to Shanghai.
The A3N - current port rotation will remain unchanged, that is Yokohama, Osaka, Busan, Qingdao, Shanghai, Kaohsiung, Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and back to Yokohama.
The A3S - effective from voyage ETA Xiamen August 10 will have the port rotation as follows: Xiamen, Shenzhen-Shekou, Hong Kong, Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and back to Xiamen.
OOCL also announced changes to it Southeast Asia - Australia Service with new A1 and A2 products.
The A product with the addition of a new loop to become the A1 and A2 services will offer competitive transit times and expanded port coverage.
The new A1 and A2 products will cover all major ports in Australia with the following port rotations commencing from Laem Chabang on July 30 for A1, and from Singapore on August 5 for A2.
From July 30 the A1 rotation will be Laem Chabang, Singapore, Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Fremantle, Singapore and back to Laem Chabang.
Meanwhile the A2 will rotate through Singapore, Port Kelang, Fremantle, Melbourne, Adelaide and back to Singapore.
