HONG KONG's Orient Overseas Container Line, now a Cosco unit, has announced changes in the China Pakistan Express 2 (CPX2) service, which will be renamed as the Asia Pakistan Mundra Service (PMX) from November 13.
This will come with the sailing from Shanghai of a new China India Express 1 (CIX1) service, introduced from November 14.
'These service enhancements will provide customers with better market coverage and sailing frequency with multiple linkages between China, the West Coast of India, and the Port of Karachi,' said the OOCL statement.
Thus, the CIX1 and PMX port rotations will be as follows:
China India Express 1 (CIX1) will set sail in Shanghai and rotate through Ningbo, Shenzhen-Shekou, Guangzhou-Nansha, Singapore, Port Kelang, Nhava Sheva, Karachi (SAPT), Singapore and back to Shanghai
The Asia Pakistan Mundra Service (PMX) will rotate through Shanghai, Ningbo, Fuzhou, Shenzhen-Shekou, Singapore, Port Kelang, Colombo, Karachi (KICT), Karachi (PICT), Mundra, Port Kelang, Singapore and back to Shanghai.
Together they will form an integral part of a comprehensive service network in this region through the following services:

China India Express 3 (CIX3) will rotate through Shanghai, Xiamen, Hong Kong, Shenzhen-Shekou, Guangzhou-Nansha, Singapore, Colombo, Nhava Sheva, Pipavav, Colombo, Port Kelang, Singapore, Hong Kong and back to Shanghai.
Far East Indian Subcontinent Service (FI3) will rotate through Dalian, Xingang, Qingdao, Busan, Kwangyang, Ningbo, Singapore, Tanjung Pelepas, Colombo, Nhava Sheva, Pipavav, Singapore and back to Dalian.
