In the foremidday of Sep 7, 2018, the 'Anmare', enroute from Klaipeda to Ipswich, lost oil at the start of the westbound transit of the Kiel Canal. The ship was berthed at the quay of the Bominflot Bunkerstation in Kiel-Wik since 8.20 a.m. to take on bunkers. At 11 a.m. an oil spill was observed around the vessel. The fire brigade in Kiel was alerted and laid out oil booms around the whole ship. The source of the leakage was not yet detected.
