Beginning November 2018, Norwegian Breakaway will homeport in New Orleans to offer Caribbean cruises for the winter season. It will be the largest ship to ever sail from the Port of New Orleans. The 4,000-passenger ship's first voyage from its new home will depart November 11. It will then offer a series of seven-, 10- and 11-night cruises to the Western Caribbean, visiting ports such as Mexico's Cozumel and Costa Maya; Ocho Rios, Jamaica; George Town, Grand Cayman; Roatan, Honduras; and the line's parent company-operated island in southern Belize, Harvest Caye. Norwegian Breakaway was originally scheduled to sail out of New York, following its summer 2018 season in the Baltic.
