Fire broke out in the engine room of a ship flying the Turkish flag. 
The incident occurred about 50 nm east of n. Emine.
 The crew of the ship NAZIM BEY (IMO 9396452) managed to control the situation and its own forces put out the fire in the engine compartment. 
In the accident were not injured sailors from the crew of the vessel with deadweight of 3020 t, 80 m. And a width of 12.5 meters. 
There are no data on the causes leading to the accident. I
n the situation were notified and Bulgarian authorities. 
On the site reported further that Bulgarian specialized company based in the town. 
Bourgas, has been involved in towing the vessel to Buyukdere area in the Strait of Istanbul.
The general cargo ship will be repaired and will resume voyage to Tuzla. Local authorities will hold an inspection of the seaworthiness and safety on board of the ship before resuming the voyage.
