GENEVA's Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) will increase rates US$500 per TEU on cargo from Asia to north Europe, the Mediterranean, Black Sea and North Africa from July 1.
Earlier, MSC postponed the implementation of a $350 per TEU peak season surcharge scheduled for June 1 on Asia-north Europe/Med trades until further notice.
Other carriers, which plan July 1 rate increases on the Asia-Europe trade lanes, include Hong Kong's OOCL, UASC, Zim, China Shipping and Cosco.
