The 67 migrants aboard the 'Nave Diciotti' have disembarked the vessel at Trapani after the Italian President Mattarella has mediated. They left the ship on July 12 shortly before midnight and climbed into a bus, which was accompanied by police vehicles. Previously, Italy's head of government, Giuseppe Conte, had announced in a communication that migrants were likely to leave the 'Diciotti' once their personal details have been established. The ship had docked in the afternoon in the port but the migrants, however, were prohibited from going from board by the Minister Matteo Salvini beforePresident Sergio Mattarella intervened with an appeal to Conte to resolve the situation. On board the vessel were rescued 58 men, three women and six children. They had first been taken on board the 'Vos Thalassa' off the Libyan coast. Salvini had spoken about them as 'criminals' and 'violent pirates' who were to be 'handcuffed' aboard.
