MARINE Maintenance World Expo is back for its second year on October 14-16 in Brussels, bringing the ship repair industry together to focus on new technology and maritime innovation.
Located at the heart of European shipping, near the ports of Zeebrugge, Antwerp and Rotterdam, the three-day event - free to attend - will see 50 leading industry speakers focus on keeping ships operational and minimising downtime.
Topics to be discussed include condition-based maintenance, structural repair and maintenance, engine and propulsion maintenance and overhaul, blasting and painting, corrosion removal and control and underwater repair.
The exhibition is once again being organised by the publisher of Marine Maintenance Technology International magazine.
Chief organiser Graham Johnson said the show's success in its opening year means the 2014 event is attracting the most relevant exhibits in the sector: "There was a need for a show dedicated to the operational issues."
