Lufthansa Cargo and CEVA Logistics have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to deepen their sustainability partnership, focusing on the use of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), reports London's Air Cargo News.
The agreement aims to achieve measurable CO??reductions in airfreight operations through joint initiatives, knowledge sharing, and transparent practices. Verifiable emission cuts are expected to begin in 2025.
Logic Gay, CEVA's global air & ocean products leader, said the collaboration supports both companies' climate goals and leverages lufthansa Cargo's efficient Boeing 777F fleet to drive innovative supply chain solutions.
Anand Kulkarni, Lufthansa Cargo's head of global markets, emphasized the strength of the partnership and the importance of joint action on SAF. He noted that sustainability is central to Lufthansa Cargo's mission of enabling global business.
Lufthansa Cargo has previously partnered with several logistics firms on SAF initiatives, including Maersk, Best Services International Freight, and Swiss WorldCargo. The new MoU with CEVA builds on this momentum toward greener airfreight.
