CHINA has approved a merger of several of its major rare-earths companies, creating a goliath that will cement the country's control over the sector, reports Bloomberg

MEMBERS of the G6 Alliance have announced their Asia-US west coast services CC1 and CC2 will be merged, but all others will remain unchanged.

THE G6's six shipping lines are together co-ordinating six new services on the Asia to east coast of North America trade starting from May.
