Containerships

Seasonal fog delays containerships in Houston, diverting them to Mobile and disrupting exporters' schedules, reports S&P Global.

DELTAMARIN has won a contract to build Iceland's Eimskip and Greenland-based Royal Arctic Line three 2,150 TEU ice-class containerships capable of sailing in Arctic waters. The ships will also comply with the newly adopted International Maritime Organisation's Polar Code.

CHILE's Compania Sud Americana de Vapores (CSAV) has announced it will order seven containerships from Samsung Heavy Industries for US$570 million.
